Hello from Jer&Sooz and Our LifeTime Friends Network!

You are saying, "What has gotten into Jer&Sooz heads! And, Why is that picture there?"

Are we right ladies and gents? OK, We'll tell you...it happened 3 weeks ago. Over 6 months Sooz called a TV Show, we won't mention any names but a clue here is...the show has something to do with the 'Funny Pictures' seen above.

The show and NBC called about 5 weeks ago and made the family (us) an offer.

She was enticed by their sales pitch "We'll take you on an all expenses paid trip to Chacago. You'll dine at the finest restaurants, and be treated to 5 star accomidations and entertainment...all paid for by us". Wow! What a thought. And maybe, just maybe our little issue, which had nearly been resolved by time passing by, might become resolved.

It started out odd. Jer left about 2 hours before the other two of us. Weird, we're all travelling separate. There was a wall slowly building knowing this, it was if we were separated from the beginning on purpose!

But we didn't let it dampen our spirits and whole heartedly jumped on this as an adventure.

We were taken to the studio, NBC Headquarters in Chicago in a long black limosine. How cool is that! Then, one by one we were interviewed by the producer of the show and asked to explain our beefs...with each other.

She encouraged us to bring up everything that ticked us off, even things 6 to 8 months in the past. Then she helped us to expand upon them to "make it dramatic, I'm a drama queen", she said to us.

By the time we got to our hotel, had hair done and shopped the 'handler' assigned to us was in a hurry to move on. True, it was a grueling day which started for us around 3:00 AM, and it was 10:30 PM Chicago time, but we wanted to get out if even for 10 or 20 minutes.

Sadly the  pool with the panoramic view atop the Hotel  was closed for the  night, and every entertaining idea we came up with was shot down for one reason or another.

So, we were not able to take advantage of their great entertainment or dining offer.

Next day early we were whisked off to the studio where we all waited in different rooms and were moved from time to time to talk more with the producer who encouraged us more and more to air the dirtiest of our laundry so she could make it really entertaining.

She must be into hypnosis we thought as she had us thinking all this stuff had to be said on the stage. Then, back again in the little room we went and waited.

We're talking a dressing room with a bathroom and shower attached with a TV screen in it the makeup artist and hair designer came in and one by one made us look like comic book characters or someone from those trashy TV shows that make fun of people who live in trailer parks.

We were devastated at how we suddenly looked so ghastly, like Plastic People with thick pancake make up, too much lipstick, strange curls in our hair, bad eye liner too! Can you say scary?

So, finally after 5 and 1/2 hours in and out of the little room, we were walked to the pre on-stage room where we could overhear the producer's assistant shouting loudly at Linds what to say in a closed room with the 2 of them in it only.

When asked after we returned home about this, the producer claims she was never alone in a room with Linds. We know this to be untrue. Somebody was shouting at her what to say in the smaller room right before she went onstage! This bothered us quite a bit because by then we could not back out- no way!

As we went through the steps as required before going on stage with the host it all became clear, The Show Is Rigged! 

Not only did we air our dirty laundry in public, on national TV but we said things that maybe were exaggerated and a little overboard. One of us got booed on stage and more went amok to boot. What a disaster this was!

Now, why would we ever want to talk about how we made complete fools out of ourselves, airing our dirty laundry on national TV? What could the value of being on a rigged show set up just for entertainment purposes be to you?

The reason we are sharing this is there is a moral, a lesson and a message or two from JerSooz to you.

• If you decide to be on any of these shows make sure to bring along your supper and a sense of humor. Take a good long look at what kind of clothes they put you in and if necessary never be afraid to say "no, absolutely not, I will not say that!" Once you are there they can try all they like but can NOT force you to say anything you don't want to say.
• If you have children make sure they don't brainwash them the 10 minutes in the little room just before they go onstage. The producer denies this happened but we have proof it is true that this happened.
• You may end up feeling used and abused, so have a light heart and be ready for signs you might be going home separately. At first, after we realized we'd been had there was a lot of grief. Then we realized we'd all be be taking separate planes home. This didn't go over very well since Jer ended up home nearly a day behind.
• Next, take the show and things said with a grain of salt.   Learn to laugh at yourself! We say this because if you are there to actually fix something in your life, and intend to go home with the folks involved what's said on the show may make the homecoming worse than the actual situation was when you left it!
• Even though you will most likely suffer shame, self-loathing and be more mad at yourself and the people you brought to the show this experience can teach you to take things a little more lightly. We all, at one time or another tend to take ourselves too seriously. Friends, this gets old! And we're not just talking in everyday life, it can apply to your work, your internet business, an advertising campaign...anything in life.

We Only Get One Chance At This Life, So Why Not Make The Best Of It!

Please, ease up on all the seriousness of everything and learn to lighten up, stop being so serioso, and enjoy every single moment, before it is gone forever. If this is something foreign or you are saying "sure JerSooz it's a simplistic notion at best. I have REAL PROBLEMS", don't we all!

The fact is nothing is going to change over night and the only thing you can really do anything about is your own attitude. Your own thoughts matter the most because they are directly related to what you are going to do and think next.
